Security Engineer

About this role

Fireworks AI, a Series C generative AI infrastructure company, seeks a Security Engineer to design and implement comprehensive security controls across AI platforms, multi-cloud infrastructure, and internal systems. You'll embed security throughout the technology stack, from CI/CD pipelines to cloud-native architectures, while building tools and operating security programs that protect customer data and models at scale.

What you'll do

• Design and implement security capabilities including encryption, IAM, secure API gateways, and sandboxing across multi-cloud infrastructure
• Conduct security reviews of cloud-native architectures and build monitoring systems for anomaly detection and automated response
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices with automated scanning and policy enforcement
• Develop in-house security tooling and automation where it provides better control and integration than off-the-shelf solutions
• Build and operate vulnerability management programs across applications, containers, and infrastructure
• Lead security operations including detection engineering, incident response, and participate in red/blue team exercises
