UAS Flight Test Engineer

About this role

Flock Safety seeks a UAS Flight Test Engineer to develop and test drone systems for their Drone as First Responder programs. You'll conduct technical testing, pilot drones, and drive R&D improvements while working on-site in Atlanta with up to 25% travel.

What you'll do

• Conduct technical testing and validation of drone components and systems
• Pilot commercial drones and serve as Pilot in Command for flight operations
• Design and execute hardware integration assessments for new system components
• Develop and modify custom testing applications and procedures
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions for drone systems
• Communicate test results and technical findings to internal and external stakeholders

What they're looking for

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
• Hardware integration and assessment experience
• Software familiarity with terminal interfaces and Python
• Problem-solving and attention to detail
• Research skills in emerging drone technologies
• Technical communication abilities
• Physical stamina for outdoor field work
