Civil Engineer, Data Center Design

About this role

Fluidstack is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering across a multi-site data center development portfolio, managing projects from site screening through construction. You'll handle due diligence, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and coordination with consultants and authorities for massive-scale AI infrastructure projects.

What you'll do

• Own civil engineering workstream across multi-site, multi-state data center portfolio from screening through completion
• Conduct civil due diligence including topography, drainage, utilities, soils, floodplain, and environmental assessment
• Direct geotechnical investigations by scoping RFPs, reviewing programs, and interpreting reports
• Review traffic studies and offsite infrastructure, flagging civil cost and schedule risks
• Develop and maintain civil basis of design, standard details, and specifications
• Coordinate with geotechnical engineers, local authorities, and contractors on grading, drainage, and utilities
