About this role
Fluidstack is seeking a Commissioning Project Engineer to lead Factory Acceptance Testing and commissioning operations for massive-scale AI data center buildouts. You'll develop test procedures, coordinate vendor FATs, and ensure critical infrastructure systems meet specifications and Tier standards before handover.
What you'll do
- Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Factory Witness Tests for power, cooling, and control systems
- Review and approve vendor test procedures against project specifications and Uptime Institute Tier standards
- Develop and maintain commissioning test procedures across all five commissioning levels
- Track commissioning issues, document results, and validate systems against design intent
- Coordinate with vendors, general contractors, and commissioning teams to maintain testing schedules
- Support establishment of commissioning programs for 50GW+ of data center capacity
What they're looking for
- Data center commissioning and Factory Acceptance Testing
- Critical infrastructure equipment knowledge (UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling, BMS/EPMS)
- Test procedure development and vendor procedure review
- Project coordination and scheduling under construction pressure
- Technical documentation and audit trail management
- ASHRAE, BCxA, or NETA standards familiarity
- Uptime Institute Tier commissioning experience
- Modular or prefabricated data center testing
