About this role

Fluidstack seeks a Connectivity Engineer to oversee physical infrastructure deployment for large-scale AI data centers. You'll manage fiber optics, structured cabling installations, and quality assurance across multiple concurrent gigawatt-scale projects, traveling 50% to ensure hyperscale standards are met.

What you'll do

  • Oversee complete lifecycle of physical installation projects including LVC scheduling, QA/QC, and compliance with design and safety standards
  • Serve as primary technical contact between contractors, operations, and engineering teams during deployment and validation
  • Coordinate deployment schedules, material delivery, and facility access while tracking progress against milestones
  • Conduct multi-stage QA inspections on rack placement, cabling, grounding, and labeling against design documentation
  • Perform advanced optical loss testing (OLTS), OTDR analysis, and copper integrity verification on all infrastructure links
  • Generate test reports, as-builts, root cause analyses, and oversee project closeout and operational handoff

  • Fiber optics and structured cabling expertise (BICSI standards)
  • Advanced fiber testing equipment operation (OTDR, VFL, power meters)
  • Data center physical infrastructure and server/network hardware installation at scale
  • Technical drawing interpretation (AutoCAD, Visio)
  • Project management and coordination under tight timelines
  • Quality assurance and compliance validation
  • Vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent)
  • ITIL or hyperscale standardization program experience
