About this role

Fluidstack seeks a Connectivity Engineer to oversee physical installation and validation of fiber optic and structured cabling infrastructure across massive AI compute data center builds. You'll manage contractor teams, run comprehensive testing and QA, and ensure every connection meets hyperscale standards before systems go live.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and oversee full lifecycle of LVC installation projects, from scheduling through QA/QC and final closeout
  • Serve as primary technical liaison between contractors, operations, and engineering teams on-site
  • Conduct multi-stage QA inspections on rack placement, cabling, grounding, labeling, and routing against design specifications
  • Execute advanced fiber testing including OLTS, OTDR analysis, and insertion/return loss verification on all links
  • Manage deployment schedules, material delivery, facility access coordination, and progress reporting to milestones
  • Generate test reports, as-built documentation, root cause analyses, and drive operational handoff

  • Technical drawing interpretation (AutoCAD, Visio, schematics)
  • Project management and stakeholder coordination
  • Cat6a/Cat8 copper testing and validation
  • Hyperscale standardization and quality processes
