About this role
Fluidstack is hiring a Controls Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot critical building management and automation systems in a 24/7 data center environment. You'll diagnose control faults across BMS/BAS platforms, PLCs, and field devices while supporting deployments and commissioning for massive-scale AI compute infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Maintain and troubleshoot BMS/BAS controllers, EPMS, PLCs, sensors, and control panels in mission-critical 24/7 operations
- Diagnose control faults using software front-ends and field instruments (multimeters, calibrators, clamp meters)
- Configure BMS platforms (Ignition, Metasys, Niagara, EcoStruxure) including point mapping, alarms, and setpoints
- Support PLC/HMI troubleshooting, PID tuning, and sequence development
- Contribute to commissioning, system integration, and maintain accurate as-built documentation
- Support real-time load control systems and infrastructure for 50GW+ data center deployments
What they're looking for
- BMS/BAS platform operation (Ignition, Metasys, Niagara, or EcoStruxure)
- PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell or Siemens preferred)
- Field diagnostics and instrumentation (multimeters, loop calibrators, clamp meters)
- Sequence of Operations comprehension and writing
- BACnet and Modbus protocols
- Data center or critical facilities controls experience
- NETA or commissioning methodology
- Rigorous documentation and as-built management
