Data Center Structural Engineer

About this role

Fluidstack is seeking a Data Center Structural Engineer to support the design and execution of massive-scale AI compute infrastructure across multiple sites. You'll oversee structural engineering from site selection through construction, managing geotechnical assessments, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring cost-effective, constructable designs for next-generation data centers.

What you'll do

• Lead structural engineering oversight across multiple data center development sites from screening through construction completion
• Evaluate geotechnical reports and translate soil/seismic data into structural design requirements
• Develop and maintain structural standards, basis of design documents, and coordinate across civil, geotechnical, and MEP teams
• Manage external structural engineers of record through design phases and quality reviews
• Assess structural due diligence for new and conversion sites including foundation conditions and retrofit complexity
• Identify structural cost and constructability risks early in site selection process

• Cross-functional coordination with civil, geotechnical, and MEP disciplines
• Project management and external engineer oversight
• Seismic design (preferred)
• ETABS, RISA, or RAM software (preferred)
