Electrical Engineer, Modular Design & Manufacturing

About this role

Fluidstack seeks a senior Electrical Engineer to design modular, factory-built electrical infrastructure for AI data centers at scale. You'll transform custom electrical designs into standardized, repeatable solutions—from equipment selection through manufacturing, testing, and field deployment—while collaborating with vendors and integrating lessons from multiple site deployments.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end electrical design of modular power infrastructure including switchgear skids, electrical rooms, and prefabricated data center modules
• Apply design-for-manufacturability principles to ensure standardization, transportability, and rapid field deployment
• Develop and maintain standardized designs, specifications, and configuration control across the modular product line
• Support site commissioning and integration, feeding field learnings back into product improvements
• Collaborate directly with equipment manufacturers on design reviews and factory acceptance testing
• Establish quality systems and production processes for modular electrical solutions

• Data center power systems (MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, busway)
• Design-for-manufacturability and factory production engineering
• BIM/VDC tools (Revit, Navisworks, clash detection)
• Vendor collaboration and factory acceptance testing
• Quality systems and production control (ITPs, first-article inspection, NCR)
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
