About this role

Fluidstack seeks a senior electrical engineer to design and standardize power infrastructure across AI data center campuses, managing renewable energy, battery storage, temporary power solutions, and mobile substations to accelerate deployment of large-scale compute facilities.

What you'll do

  • Define reference architecture for on-site and supplemental power generation balancing cost, operational efficiency, and reliability
  • Design temporary power and mobile substation solutions to accelerate facility energization ahead of permanent utility infrastructure
  • Lead electrical design and integration of solar, wind, and battery energy storage into medium-voltage campus systems
  • Evaluate and justify adoption of emerging power technologies including fuel cells, advanced batteries, and microgrid controllers
  • Troubleshoot power availability and performance issues across the fleet, conducting root cause analysis and sharing lessons learned
  • Standardize design packages and procedures to ensure consistent quality and faster project delivery

  • Power system studies (load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash)
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • NERC/FERC and ISO/RTO interconnection requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
