New York, NY$230k–$310kfulltimemidAdded 2 days ago

About this role

Fluidstack is building large-scale AI infrastructure and seeks an Information Security Engineer to design and operate end-to-end security for their bare metal fleet. You'll own security across the entire lifecycle—from supply chain through decommissioning—while protecting some of the most valuable compute infrastructure in the world.

What you'll do

  • Secure entire bare metal server fleet from provisioning through hardening, operation, and decommissioning
  • Design hardened OS images with automated vulnerability scanning, patch pipelines, and configuration-drift detection
  • Define and enforce BMC security including access control, credential rotation, audit logging, and firmware integrity
  • Collaborate on micro-segmentation, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust firewall architecture with network engineering
  • Implement fleet-scale data encryption, key management, and secure storage access with automation
  • Lead threat modeling for new hardware and network designs; respond to physical fleet incidents

What they're looking for

  • Linux hardening (SELinux, AppArmor, kernel security)
  • Network security (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, zero-trust)
  • Encryption implementation (LUKS, hardware encryption, HSMs, TPM/TXT)
  • Infrastructure automation (Python, Go, or Rust)
  • Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • BMC platforms (OpenBMC, iDRAC, iLO)
  • Cross-functional communication and security architecture
  • Bare metal or high-scale cloud infrastructure experience

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity compensation
  • Build security program from scratch at massive scale
  • Own end-to-end security architecture across continents
  • Work on critical AI infrastructure with high impact
  • Extreme ownership and full autonomy in role
