Infrastructure Deployment Engineer

About this role

Fluidstack seeks an Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to oversee physical installation and validation of fiber and structured cabling systems across massive AI data center builds. You'll manage contractor teams, run comprehensive QA/QC inspections, conduct advanced fiber testing, and ensure installations meet hyperscale standards and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Own full lifecycle of physical installation projects including scheduling, QA/QC oversight, and design compliance verification
• Serve as primary technical point of contact between Low Voltage Contractors, internal teams, and facility operations
• Run multi-stage QA inspections on rack placement, cabling, grounding, and labeling against design documentation
• Conduct optical loss testing (OLTS), OTDR analysis, and copper integrity verification on all links
• Manage LVC deployment schedules, coordinate material delivery, and report progress against milestones
• Generate test reports, as-builts, root cause analyses, and oversee operational handoff

• Fiber optics and structured cabling expertise with hands-on deployment experience
• Advanced fiber testing tools (OTDR, VFL, power meter, certified testers)
• Server racking, stacking, and large-scale hardware installation
• Technical drawing interpretation (AutoCAD, Visio)
• BICSI standards and best practices knowledge
• Project management and contractor team coordination
• Data center physical infrastructure design and installation
• Quality assurance and compliance verification
