About this role
Zipline is seeking a Senior or Staff Perception Engineer to join their Droid team and contribute to the autonomy stack powering their drone delivery service. This role focuses on offboard systems, leveraging computer vision and machine learning to analyze aerial data, predict deliverability, and enable scaling into new environments. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying production-grade models to support Zipline's rapidly growing operations.
What you'll do
- Design and implement computer vision ML models for cloud deployment.
- Train and deploy models for semantic segmentation and preference modeling.
- Develop tools to predict deliverability and generate high-fidelity priors.
- Design evaluation and validation infrastructure for reliable model behavior.
- Ship new features or models to production every six weeks.
- Lead architectural decisions and roadmapping (Staff level).
