About this role
Zipline is seeking experienced Perception Engineers to join their Droid team and develop real-time 3D perception models for their autonomous delivery system. This role focuses on building and deploying robust, production-grade models onboard resource-constrained hardware, directly impacting Zipline's mission to deliver critical goods worldwide. You'll collaborate closely with the planning team, prioritizing practical solutions and rapid iteration.
What you'll do
- Implement, train, and evaluate real-time 3D perception models.
- Deploy and optimize models onboard resource-constrained computers.
- Build visualization and evaluation tools for model performance.
- Collaborate with the motion planning team on system integration.
- Ship new features or models to production every 6 weeks.
- Drive experimentation and stay current with research in the field.
