About this role

Zipline is seeking a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineer Intern to contribute to their autonomous aircraft and ground systems. This internship offers the chance to tackle real-world challenges, developing safety-critical low-level software and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve their global delivery system. You'll own projects from conception to deployment, impacting critical aspects of Zipline's operations.

What you'll do

  • Develop and test embedded software for various systems, including flight computers and ground stations.
  • Design and build testing setups for RF radio performance and signal validation.
  • Work on firmware for coprocessors managing high-frequency signals and I/O.
  • Prototype and refine perception systems using compute modules and sensors.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to improve ground systems performance.
  • Contribute to the development of safe and reliable software architectures.
