This role involves applying reliability engineering principles like Design for Reliability and Physics of Failure to guide design decisions, conduct testing, and analyze failures. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the long-term performance and safety of Zipline's autonomous aircraft and ground infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Develop reliability strategies for mechanical systems.
  • Translate reliability targets into design requirements and verification plans.
  • Lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) efforts.
  • Develop and execute Accelerated Life Testing (ALT) campaigns.
  • Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Define operational life limits and service intervals.
