Zipline is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to own the ground testing strategy for their next-generation delivery container, the 'Droid,' and its interaction with ground infrastructure. This role involves designing and building custom test fixtures, developing automation software, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance as they scale production. The ideal candidate possesses strong electromechanical skills, Python programming experience, and a passion for solving real-world engineering challenges.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute ground test strategies for the Droid and related infrastructure.
• Design, build, and deploy custom test fixtures and life-test rigs.
• Develop automation software for test systems using Python.
• Drive test campaigns through various validation and testing phases.
• Triage and root-cause hardware failures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve design and reliability.
