Zipline is seeking an Industrial & Operations Engineer to optimize their factory's performance and scalability as they rapidly expand their drone delivery operations. This role focuses on connecting various manufacturing elements—labor, equipment, space, and materials—into an efficient production system. You'll leverage data analysis and practical problem-solving to identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and develop plans for future growth.

  • Design and improve factory layouts and material flow.
  • Conduct time studies and analyze cycle times for efficiency.
  • Build capacity models to forecast production requirements.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Define strategies for work-in-process (WIP) and inventory management.
