About this role
Zipline is seeking a Mechanical & Scaling Engineer to shepherd droid subsystems through the full product lifecycle, from design to production. This role focuses on execution and problem-solving, ensuring designs meet quality and efficiency standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and facilitate the scaling of their delivery system.
What you'll do
- Drive subsystems through DVT, PVT, tooling release, and production.
- Own test campaigns, including test plan creation and failure analysis.
- Establish NPI and production lines with contract manufacturers.
- Manage supplier communication, ECOs, and Jira queues.
- Improve existing designs based on testing and manufacturing feedback.
