Form Energy is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support their expanding manufacturing operations in Weirton, WV. This role will be the primary technical resource for resolving complex equipment issues, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the reliable production of their innovative iron-air batteries. The ideal candidate will possess strong PLC programming, troubleshooting, and communication skills, contributing to a vital team focused on revolutionizing energy storage.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the escalation point for automation technicians.
  • Identify and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA software improvements.
  • Troubleshoot MES data transactions within PLC programs.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to automation technicians.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for off-hour escalations.
  • Work with vendors on equipment upgrades and resolving technical issues.
