Product Engineer

About this role

Formic seeks a Product Engineer to drive reliability and standardization across its deployed robotic automation fleet. You'll analyze field performance data, identify recurring issues, and translate operational insights into scalable engineering improvements that reduce failures and strengthen system sustainability.

What you'll do

• Identify recurring performance issues across deployed systems and define improvement initiatives
• Analyze mechanical, electrical, controls, and safety data to develop validated enhancements
• Design scalable solutions that improve reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Develop implementation-ready documentation, drawings, and hardware packages for field deployment
• Lead enhancement projects from definition through validation and rollout
• Partner with Field Service and Customer Success teams to ensure adoption and alignment
