About this role

Formlabs seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement firmware for their industry-leading 3D printing devices used by companies like Apple, Google, and Tesla. You'll develop tools for R&D teams and ship features to thousands of deployed printers while collaborating across product and hardware teams in their Somerville, MA office.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, test, and ship firmware and development tools for new 3D printer products
  • Develop and deploy new printer features to tens of thousands of devices in the field
  • Ensure code reusability with focus on maintainability, testing, and CI/CD practices
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to build customer-focused features
  • Debug complex hardware-software interactions and architect reusable code patterns
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-engineering stakeholders
