R&D Engineer

About this role

Formlabs seeks an R&D Engineer to innovate 3D printing technology by developing new printing techniques, conducting experiments, and collaborating across engineering disciplines. You'll work on next-generation printers and materials, using data-driven approaches to improve current products and explore emerging technologies.

What you'll do

• Design and develop new 3D printing techniques and printer architectures
• Conduct experiments and analyze results to inform hardware and software improvements
• Evaluate current printer performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Design and build test fixtures for experimental validation
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement product improvements
• Investigate emerging technologies in 3D printing
