Formlabs is seeking a skilled R&D Reliability/Test Engineer to enhance the reliability of their 3D printing hardware. The ideal candidate will manage testing strategies, conduct root cause analyses, and collaborate closely with design teams to ensure product robustness and reliability from the outset.
What you'll do
- Develop and manage validation test plans for product reliability
- Conduct root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystem failures
- Design and implement automated testing equipment for reliability testing
- Collaborate with design teams for risk assessments and design reviews
- Analyze field failure data to identify trends and improve products

- Expertise in electromechanical systems
- Experience with sensor and actuator testing
- Proficiency in developing test plans
- Ability to prototype tests and implement solutions in Python
- Strong data analysis skills
- Familiarity with Linux and various scripting languages
- Knowledge of SQL for data analysis
- Experience in field failure analysis or quality engineering
