Quality Engineer Intern

About this role

Four Hands, a leading furniture design and wholesaler, seeks a Quality Engineer Intern to support quality assurance, packaging design, and sustainability initiatives. This 12-week, part-time on-site role (20-25 hours/week) runs September through December 2026 in Austin, TX, offering hands-on experience in the furniture industry.

What you'll do

• Assist in quality control inspections of furniture products
• Support creation of 3D graphic drawings and models using 3D scanning technology
• Test and review export shipping packages for effectiveness and security
• Research and recommend sustainable materials for products and packaging
• Translate data into interactive 3D formats to improve cross-team collaboration
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality and sustainability
