Backend Developer Junior 790

Freedom Technology Solutions Groups is looking to add a junior Backend Developer to the team! The Junior Backend Developer applies fundamental concepts, processes, and procedures to technical assignments in backend development. This role provides an opportunity to build hands-on experience with modern software development practices under close supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, JavaScript, and Python.

• Assist with implementing secure coding practices within a DevSecOps pipeline.

• Support containerized application development (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Contribute to cloud-based application development and deployment in AWS environments.

• Participate in geospatial application development, including data ingestion and processing.

• Collaborate with senior developers in Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives).

• Perform unit testing and support integration testing.

• Document work performed and contribute to knowledge-sharing repositories.

Qualifications:

• 0–2 years of software development experience.

• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and/or Python programming.

• Basic knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines and Agile practices.

• Understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS preferred, Microsoft, GCP, and others).

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Interest or coursework in geospatial technologies.
