Cloud Developer/Engineer

About this role

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks an experienced Senior Cloud Developer/Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructures for mission-critical operations in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on multi-cloud support (AWS, Azure, Oracle, GCP), DevOps practices, and security monitoring with emphasis on threat detection and compliance.

What you'll do

• Design and manage secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Implement cloud security best practices and leverage Azure monitoring services like Sentinel and Defender for Cloud
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud environment issues while configuring network security controls
• Write and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI using Logic Apps and Azure Automation
• Manage cloud compute, storage, networking, and database services
• Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance and address complex technical challenges

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, BICEP, Ansible)
• DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, Docker)
• Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, YAML, JSON)
• Cloud security and network controls (NSGs, application gateways)
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or equivalent
• NIST and FIPS compliance standards
