Cloud Linux Engineer

About this role

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a skilled Cloud/System Engineer to manage and support enterprise cloud infrastructure on AWS and Linux systems in Warrenton, VA. The role involves system administration, automation, database maintenance, and security implementation for an AI/ML-focused environment.

What you'll do

• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and Linux systems in production environments
• Patch and maintain system databases including RDS, MySQL, and Oracle
• Implement and manage cloud security configurations, IAM, VPC, and access controls
• Configure and manage automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Monitor enterprise applications, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze logs
• Collaborate with enterprise teams on infrastructure operations and digitization initiatives

• AWS and Linux production environment experience
• Database administration (RDS, MySQL, Oracle)
• Configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Cloud security and IAM implementation
• Scripting and programming languages (Python, Java, C#)
• Federated Identity and RBAC systems
• Enterprise security technologies (NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security)
• Virtual infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, Hyper-V, VMware)
