Mid Level Software Engineer

About this role

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a mid-level Software Engineer to develop and enhance ground-based satellite geolocation systems. You'll work across the full engineering lifecycle on RF signal processing, analytics tools, and real-time systems while supporting critical mission operations.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain complex software systems including analytics, real-time processing, and large-scale data handling
• Design RF signal processing applications and geospatial tools
• Integrate new and legacy software across diverse hardware platforms
• Test software components for compliance with design requirements and resolve problem reports
• Contribute to cutting-edge development programs and innovative solutions
• Provide input on hardware/software trade-offs and COTS/GOTS integration decisions

• Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
• Geospatial processing
• 2D and 3D image display development
• Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
• Linux development environments
• Git version control (GitLab/GitHub)
• Jira/Confluence project management
• Full software engineering lifecycle experience
