System Engineer

About this role

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is hiring a mid-level System Engineer to support satellite geolocation systems through the full engineering lifecycle. You'll innovate RF signal processing applications, integrate legacy and new software, and develop comprehensive system requirements and architectures for critical mission operations.

What you'll do

• Design RF signal processing applications and integrate new and legacy software across hardware platforms
• Analyze user requirements and system architectures to develop detailed system requirements specifications
• Create system design solutions and component definitions that serve as reference points for development teams
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams to evaluate trade-offs and design new capabilities
• Develop security and information assurance requirements including cryptography and access controls
• Produce system engineering documentation including plans, specifications, and interface control documents

• Systems engineering methodology and lifecycle management
• RF signal processing and real-time process/error budget allocation
• Requirements analysis and architectural design
• Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools
• SysML tools (Cameo, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody preferred)
• Information security and cryptography concepts
• Technical documentation and interface definition
• Stakeholder communication and team collaboration
