System Engineer

About this role

Freedom seeks an experienced System Engineer to support the Government's Corporate Management Services organization in modernizing and sustaining enterprise financial and resource management applications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to design solutions, manage requirements, and drive continuous improvement across multiple products serving thousands of government personnel.

What you'll do

• Partner with Technical Team Leads, Product Owners, and Government stakeholders on requirements elicitation, analysis, and decomposition
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning activities across multiple products
• Develop and validate use cases, business processes, and user workflows
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Identify, communicate, and track dependencies, impediments, and risks impacting delivery
• Mentor junior systems engineers in systems engineering, Agile, and stakeholder engagement skills
