About this role

Freeform seeks a Factory Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain the physical systems supporting Skyfall, an AI-native 3D printing platform. You'll manage thermal management, industrial plumbing, gas delivery, sensor monitoring, and facility utilities while ensuring safety compliance and operational efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Design custom infrastructure for Skyfall printing system including thermal management, industrial plumbing, and gas delivery systems
  • Develop factory performance monitoring systems using sensors and data acquisition to track utility health and system metrics
  • Oversee critical utilities—power, process water, nitrogen, argon—ensuring compliance with safety codes
  • Define and implement preventive maintenance programs for pumps, compressors, and HVAC to minimize downtime
  • Source specialized fluid system components and high-pressure fittings to support infrastructure projects
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and fluid systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
