About this role
Freeform seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to scale post-processing operations for complex metal additive parts from prototype to production volume. You'll architect systems and processes that handle part complexity, material diversity, and high throughput while maintaining agility for ongoing R&D innovation.
What you'll do
- Design and implement scalable manufacturing processes for additive-printed hardware with cross-functional engineering teams
- Optimize part flow through the factory by improving fixturing, testing, and post-processing procedures
- Create lightweight process documentation and standards that enable production scaling without hindering engineering velocity
- Build and refine tooling, jigs, and test setups for reliable, high-throughput production
- Identify factory bottlenecks and lead cross-functional improvements in part, material, and data flow
- Support transition of high-performance printed parts from R&D to high-rate manufacturing
