Protocol Engineer - Platform

About this role

Galaxy seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to own institutional-grade Ethereum validator infrastructure and the platform layer supporting blockchain operations. You'll manage validator clusters, client diversity, key management, and work closely with clients on staking and tokenization integrations.

What you'll do

• Operate Ethereum validator infrastructure including consensus and execution clients at institutional scale
• Build and maintain platform layer for cluster lifecycle management, client upgrades, and observability
• Manage slashing protection, key management, and signer infrastructure with institutional-grade rigor
• Harden shared infrastructure including Kubernetes, GitOps pipelines, secrets management, and CI/CD
• Partner with clients on integrations across staking, tokenization, and DeFi use cases
• Handle production operations, on-call duties, and incident response for systems managing institutional assets

• Ethereum validator infrastructure and client operations (Lighthouse, Prysm, Teku, Geth, Nethermind, etc.)
• Kubernetes and container orchestration (EKS)
• AWS and cloud infrastructure
• GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines
• Key management systems (KMS, HSM, MPC)
• Distributed systems design and production operations
• Observability and monitoring tools
• Blockchain consensus and protocol knowledge
