About this role

Gamma is seeking a Software Engineer to build and maintain systems that protect their platform from various forms of abuse and fraud. You'll play a crucial role in architecting scalable trust infrastructure, developing tools for support teams, and shaping the long-term safety strategy using AI/LLM-based detection. This is a high-impact role within a small, collaborative team focused on balancing security with user experience.

What you'll do

  • Own detection and prevention systems for fraud, abuse, spam, and malicious content.
  • Design and build scalable trust infrastructure (rate limiting, content scanning, anomaly detection).
  • Build tools for internal support teams to investigate and act on suspicious activity.
  • Investigate and resolve complex security incidents.
  • Partner with engineering and product to balance security and user experience.
  • Leverage AI/LLMs for abuse detection and automated workflows.
