Civil Engineer PE - Paducah

About this role

General Matter is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer to lead the design and execution of a state-of-the-art uranium enrichment facility in Paducah, KY. You'll manage civil engineering from concept through commissioning, collaborating across disciplines while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

What you'll do

• Prepare and modify engineering documents including specifications, plans, schedules, and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software
• Assess site conditions through visits, soil analysis, hydrological studies, and topographical data to inform facility planning
• Lead civil permitting processes and coordinate directly with regulatory agencies and municipalities
• Ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local zoning, environmental, and land use regulations
• Conduct civil engineering risk assessments for hydrology, grading, and flood zone constraints
• Collaborate with EPC managers, construction teams, and subcontractors on site development strategies
