Reliability Engineer
About this role
General Matter seeks a Reliability Engineer to own hardware reliability for uranium enrichment systems. You'll design and execute accelerated life tests, perform statistical analyses, lead failure investigations, and embed reliability practices across the product lifecycle to ensure systems perform reliably over their operational life.
What you'll do
- Design and lead accelerated life test (ALT) and component reliability test campaigns across hardware systems
- Develop reliability test plans using acceleration models that map applied stresses to field conditions
- Perform statistical analysis for test design including sample sizing, Weibull analysis, and reliability demonstration testing
- Analyze test and field data to characterize failure modes, life distributions, and drive corrective actions
- Develop reliability models including FMEA/FMECA, fault trees, and reliability block diagrams
- Partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement design-for-reliability practices
