Summary

Geometrics is seeking Design Coordinators to assist the Program Design Manager and Program Design Director with the coordination of design activities to ensure compliance with design standards, regulatory requirements, and airport policies.

The position is responsible for maintaining program level project documentation, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and supporting progress reporting and presentation/document deliverables. The Design Coordinator will help ensure that design activities are completed on schedule for Executive Level reviews and approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all Design Manager and Design Director projects.
  • Perform quality control (QC) over consultant team deliverables to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Support Airport governance processes related to design direction, such as the periodic updating of Design Standards Manual and other Airport requirements to be published to Design Teams.
  • Act as liaison between internal stakeholders.
  • Attend key project meetings.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the Program projects and design schedules, including preparation, updates, and tracking of design review activities.
  • Collaborate with Program/Project Managers and design teams to review plans for comment tracking and close-out
  • Lead periodic document comment resolution meetings and additional sessions as needed to resolve comments on previous tracking logs.
  • Maintain a Comment Tracking System for all design projects from inception to comment closeout and verify the documents were revised with appropriate resolution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture,Engineering, Construction Management, or an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related field.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, airport safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to pass a TSA criminal history background check.
  • Valid Driver's license.
