About this role
Join Ginkgo Bioworks' Autonomous Lab software team to build Catalyst, a platform powering bioengineering automation. Work across multiple specialized teams handling everything from AI-driven workflows and scheduling optimization to data APIs and infrastructure, supporting the company's mission to simplify biological engineering.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver end-to-end software features with minimal guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including bioengineers and product managers
- Build and maintain core systems for hardware integration, orchestration, or data management depending on team
- Contribute to AI-enabled workflows, scheduling algorithms, or infrastructure reliability
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards
- Travel to customer sites for Solutions Engineering role (up to 35%)
