Forward Deployed Engineer - META

About this role

GitLab seeks a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to help strategic APJ customers adopt GitLab and its AI platform in complex enterprise settings. You'll combine technical problem-solving with customer partnerships to design scalable solutions, create reusable assets, and influence product direction based on real-world deployment challenges.

What you'll do

• Conduct technical discovery and readiness assessments for strategic accounts in APJ region
• Design and deliver solutions for complex enterprise deployments with regulated or constrained environments
• Build reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and deployment patterns across CI/CD and security workflows
• Partner with customers and account teams to prioritize high-impact use cases and adoption paths
• Architect self-managed deployments including runners, access controls, AI Gateway, and governance
• Contribute code or technical designs upstream when field patterns reveal broader product gaps
