Software Engineer - All Levels

About this role

GlossGenius is hiring Software Engineers to build AI-powered systems that help service businesses automate operations and increase revenue. You'll architect innovative agentic AI features and scalable infrastructure while working with modern tools like Kotlin, TypeScript, and AWS in a hybrid NYC environment.

What you'll do

• Design and ship AI-powered features that create new capabilities for service businesses
• Build and maintain large-scale systems handling billions in payments for 120,000+ businesses
• Own technical work end-to-end from design through production with full accountability
• Develop platform infrastructure that enables product teams to move faster
• Use AI throughout the development lifecycle for architecture, coding, debugging, and reviews
• Challenge and improve existing approaches by proposing better technical solutions

What they're looking for

• 2+ years professional software engineering experience with production system ownership
• AI-powered feature development and shipping (beyond just assisted editors)
• Strong system design and scalability analysis
• Fast decision-making and iteration mindset
• Kotlin, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar backend/frontend languages
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) and databases (Postgres)
• Collaborative problem-solving and team leadership
• gRPC, React, or infrastructure tools (Terraform)
