About this role

GlossGenius is seeking software engineers to build AI-powered features and infrastructure for their appointment management platform serving 100,000+ service businesses. You'll architect scalable systems handling billions in payments while leveraging AI as a core part of your development process, working hybrid in San Francisco.

What you'll do

• Design and ship AI-powered features that enable new capabilities for service businesses
• Build and maintain large-scale systems processing billions in payments with high reliability
• Own projects end-to-end from technical design through production monitoring
• Develop platform infrastructure that accelerates product team velocity
• Use AI to architect, debug, write, and review code collaboratively
• Challenge existing approaches and drive architectural improvements

What they're looking for

• 2+ years professional software engineering with proven production ownership
• Experience shipping AI-powered features or systems beyond code assistants
• Proficiency in Kotlin, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar languages
• Strong systems thinking around scalability and reliability at scale
• AWS, Kubernetes, and database management experience
• Rapid iteration and decision-making mindset
• Collaborative engineering culture fit
