Junior Lean Engineer

About this role

Gotion Inc., an electric vehicle battery manufacturer, seeks a recent graduate Lean Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives across their Manteno, Illinois production facility. You'll analyze manufacturing data, participate in process improvement projects, and help drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on sustainable energy technology.

What you'll do

• Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data and identify production losses related to downtime, defects, and inefficiencies
• Conduct root cause analysis using Lean problem-solving methods like 5 Why, PDCA, and A3 processes
• Participate in Kaizen events and improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and productivity
• Collect and document manufacturing data, create visual controls, and develop standard work procedures
• Use Excel and statistical tools to analyze trends and prepare reports communicating improvement results
• Support cross-functional collaboration with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams
