Gotion, Inc.
Pack Performance Engineer
About this role
Gotion seeks a senior Pack Performance Engineer to own battery pack performance across power delivery, thermal management, and vehicle integration. This hybrid role bridges BMS controls, systems engineering, and pack hardware—defining and validating power limits, SOC/SOP boundaries, and thermal performance from design through testing and vehicle integration.
What you'll do
- Define and validate battery charge/discharge current limits combining SOC, temperature, and cell capability
- Bridge BMS, controls, and vehicle integration to establish accurate power and performance boundaries
- Own pack-level thermal and hardware performance throughout design, development, and validation phases
- Translate vehicle performance requirements into validated system attributes and pack specifications
- Conduct pack-level testing and DVP (Design Verification Plan) activities
- Collaborate across BMS, systems engineering, and mechanical teams on integrated pack solutions
What they're looking for
- Battery pack engineering and thermal management
- BMS (Battery Management System) interface and controls
- Power delivery and SOC/SOP limit definition
- Vehicle integration and system-level requirements translation
- Design verification and testing (DVP)
- Thermal modeling and analysis
- Cross-functional systems engineering
- Technical documentation and specifications
