About this role
GovWell seeks a Data Solutions Engineer to own data migrations for government agencies transitioning to their AI-powered platform. You'll transform messy legacy data into production-ready systems, lead customer implementations, and help scale GovWell's onboarding process from initial data assessment through validated launch.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end data migrations from legacy government systems, including schema mapping, validation, and dry-runs
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, and edge cases before production deployment
- Lead technical calls with government staff to explain requirements and guide transitions from legacy systems
- Build and refine internal tools, templates, and playbooks to streamline migrations and reduce time-to-launch
- Document recurring challenges and tooling gaps to inform product and platform improvements
- Work cross-functionally with Deployment, Product, and Engineering teams reporting to the CTO
