Network Security Engineer

About this role

Gruve seeks a Network Security Engineer to deploy and manage enterprise firewall solutions, primarily Cisco ASA and FTD platforms, for customer environments. This hands-on delivery role involves implementing network security infrastructure end-to-end, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with architects and project managers to ensure successful production deployments.

What you'll do

• Deploy and configure enterprise firewalls (NGFW/FTD, VPNs, NAT, NAC/ISE, SASE) according to design specifications
• Manage firewall policies, access rules, NAT configurations, and security profiles following industry best practices
• Perform testing and validation of firewall rules and security configurations in lab and staging environments
• Support migrations from Cisco ASA and third-party platforms to Cisco FTD
• Troubleshoot firewall and network security issues including traffic drops, VPN failures, and routing/DNS/DHCP problems
• Identify and implement optimization opportunities such as rule cleanup and workflow automation
