About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks an experienced Threat Emulation Engineer to lead automated security validation deployments for government and enterprise clients. You'll assess security posture, design solutions addressing adversary tactics, and empower customers through knowledge transfer and best practices in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What you'll do
- Complete internal training on Automated Security Validation (ASV) tools and methodologies
- Lead complex ASV deployments and customize solutions for diverse customer security use cases
- Assess customer security posture and requirements to guide threat emulation solution design
- Collaborate with internal product and technical teams to deliver innovative security solutions
- Enable customer independence by providing comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer
- Apply prior experience and develop creative approaches to increase solution adoption and impact
What they're looking for
- Security systems engineering and troubleshooting (5-10 years)
- Cyber threat analysis, intelligence, and adversary TTPs (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
- Windows, macOS, and Linux system administration
- Log ingestion, aggregation, and SIEM platform configuration
- Network security troubleshooting (firewalls, routing, NAT)
- Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) or Mandiant Security Validation tools
- Scripting languages (bash, python, powershell, perl)
- Red/purple team or adversary emulation experience
