About this role
Hadrian seeks an Applications Engineer to develop cutting-edge CNC machining solutions for autonomous factories serving aerospace and defense. You'll innovate on programming, workholding, and process capabilities while collaborating across engineering teams to scale manufacturing operations nationally.
What you'll do
- Develop novel CNC programming, fixturing, tooling, and machining capabilities to enhance factory throughput
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) development for high-risk, high-ROI aerospace parts and new technologies
- Serve as subject matter expert advising on tooling, machine selection, workholding, and process engineering
- Execute the machining engineering roadmap to support multi-factory expansion across the US
- Collaborate with CAM Operations, Software Engineering, and Robotics teams on manufacturing innovation
- Contribute product vision insights to Copilot software that enhances CAM programmer productivity
What they're looking for
- CAM programming (5+ years aerospace experience)
- CNC machine operation and setup
- GD&T and engineering print reading
- Machining knowledge across mills, lathes, and materials (aluminum, stainless, hard metals)
- Process engineering and material science
- Workholding and fixture design
- Macro programming (preferred)
- Software engineering or mechanical design (advantageous)
