About this role

Hadrian seeks an experienced industrial electrical engineer to design and commission control panels, harnesses, and power distribution systems for autonomous robotic machining cells in aerospace and defense manufacturing. You'll own electrical systems from concept through production, working hands-on with installation and troubleshooting while establishing company-wide electrical standards.

What you'll do

  • Design control panels and machine harnesses compliant with NFPA 79, UL 508A, and IEC 60204-1 standards
  • Specify and integrate VFDs, servo drives, safety relays, E-stops, and interlocks for robotic cells
  • Design and document multi-voltage AC/DC distribution systems with proper transformer and UPS sizing
  • Perform arc-flash analysis and NFPA 70E safety labeling for each cell
  • Commission panels on-site with testing (megger, hipot, continuity, LOTO procedures)
  • Build reusable electrical standards library and troubleshoot field failures

What they're looking for

  • EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Industrial control panel design and commissioning
  • VFD and servo drive experience (Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, or Yaskawa)
  • NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC 60204-1, NFPA 70E standards
  • Power quality troubleshooting and oscilloscope/clamp-meter analysis
  • Safety-rated systems design (ISO 13849, IEC 62061)
  • Arc-flash analysis tools
  • Industrial networking (EtherCAT, Profinet, EtherNet/IP preferred)
