About this role
Hadrian seeks an early-career Manufacturing Engineer to support the design and scaling of advanced factory systems for aerospace and defense clients. You'll evaluate manufacturing feasibility, develop production workflows, and collaborate with automation teams to deliver cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.
What you'll do
- Review mechanical drawings and assess manufacturing feasibility using design-for-manufacturability principles
- Support development of production workflows, tooling requirements, and process planning
- Evaluate capital equipment options and coordinate with vendors for manufacturing solutions
- Provide technical input on automation and inspection system planning
- Travel approximately 25% for site visits and vendor interactions
- Collaborate with senior engineers and program leads on large-scale manufacturing initiatives

- Mechanical drawing interpretation and CAD literacy
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
- Problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting
- CNC machining, additive manufacturing, or precision manufacturing familiarity

- Project coordination and equipment evaluation
- Knowledge of high-mix/low-volume production environments
